Breakfast
Coffee, herbal tea, bread & local "paximadi", home made jams, honey, cake, milk, , cheese, olives and tomatoes.
Lunch Packs
Bread, cheese, salad, "sfouggato" and/or meat and/or meat balls, (all the dishes are cooked with recipes from the local cuisine, healthy and light and are consumed at environmental temperature). The lunch packs are for each individual, in suitable isothermal packs, with cutlery, paper napkins and a 750ml bottle of Zaros water.
Lunch & Dinner
My mother and I cook everyday 5-6 different dishes with recipes from the local cuisine. We use only fresh local products and virgin olive oil. Our food is healthy, tasty and honest.
We usually suggest to our guests to order a salad to share and a variety of different dishes, so you can all taste the different dishes.
Within a small period of time that you'll stay with us you'll get the chance to try as many different dishes as possible.
Crete is a heaven for vegetarians as here is the land that a large variety of vegetables, herbs & legumes grows. Everything is cooked based upon old recipes inherited from our grandmothers, from generation to generation.
Indicative menus
- Salad, mashed fava beans, dolmades (vine leaves with rice), graviera cheese.
- Lamb with fennel, pork with garlic & potatoes, "soutzoukakia" with rice
(special recipe of meat balls), chicken with okra.
- Desserts: Yoghurt with honey
